Our Llamas

It all started at the Mystery Creek Field Days with my first introduction to Llamas & Alpacas from South America.  After 3 days of interrogating breeders I decided on Llamas and started with a gelded boy named Tintero.  Since then I have slowly grown my Llama herd to 7 top quality breeding females and our stud male Alpha Fields Tiago, who is the Northern A&P Show Supreme Champion of Champion 2009.

We also have four very talented gelded males who are our "Public Relations Team" and like nothing better than to hang out in Rest Homes or Hospitals and go Trekking in the summer.

I like a lot of variety in colour, temperament and fibre so we have a little bit of everything here from Chilean, Suri, and Silkies to our stunning Guanaco called Mia.

We have also shown very successfully over the years and had great success in the last 2 years with Tiago, Solana and Amity.

Llama Mamas

I am very lucky to have a group of friends who come out every Friday to work with their adopted Llamas.  They come from all walks of life and have learnt how to train, show, shear and trim toenails and have become so confident I have put them in charge of this year’s cria’s training program.

Last year the Llama Mamas and their charges went to Shirley Boys High to help raise funds for the 1st 15 Rugby Team trip to South America.

They had brunch at New Brighton with SWAT (Sisters with Attitude Together) and had a great time meeting the locals and attended a couple of Llama Weaving, Spinning and Felting courses and I must not forget the Llama Ladies Luncheons.
